Who can register?
Patients can register if they have:
- A valid Medicare card
- Or a DVA Veteran Card
- Parents/guardians can register eligible children
How to enrol
Patients can complete MyMedicare registration using one of the following options.
Register Online
As a patient you can commence the registration process using Medicare online services. This is via your Medicare Online Account (‘how to register’) or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app (select ‘MyMedicare’ under services). The practice staff can then accept or decline the registration in MyMedicare.
Ask Our Reception Team
The MyMedicare patient registration procedure can be initiated by practice staff. You will then use Medicare’s online services to complete the registration and give your consent as a patient.
Complete a Paper Form
You can provide your consent as a patient by filling out and signing a registration form at the office. After that, the practice will finish the registration by entering the patient’s information into the MyMedicare system.
DVA Card Holders
Patients registering with a DVA Veteran Card will need to complete a paper registration form at the practice, as online registration through Medicare services is currently only available using a Medicare card.
